I had been watching Aiden from the minute that stupid Moon found the courage from Selena’s knows-where to confess her feelings to my man-to-be.

I watched his mocking smiles and snide and harsh comments, but within me, I knew they were all fake, a façade to mask his real feelings. He mocks her feelings, but the hurt in his eyes can’t be masked; he pretends to be indifferent, but his eyes secretly follow her around.
