My lashes slowly fluttered open.
I was immediately attacked by an intense pounding on both sides of my temples. I gritted my teeth to keep from groaning in pain.
“You’re awake.” Cassie’s cheerful tone reached my ears.
“And feeling like I’d just been stomped on by fifteen elephants while soldiers are going to war in my head.” I winced as I felt more aching pressure on both sides of my head.
“That’s what you get for drinking too many shots especially when you know you’re not much of a drinker and your alcohol tolerance level is embarrassingly low.” She stated, her eyes showing she was teasing me.
