I eye rolled, scoffing. “It had better be a good reason if you have me coming out to meet you.” 

His brows raised. “Don’t forget you used to be excited to be with me.”

“That was in high school, William. Grow up and move on because I have.” I adjusted myself on the chair opposite his, a table between us. 

I picked up the menu, perusing through the drink section, opting for the healthy ones.

A waitress approached our table. 

“I’ll have a bottle of Clicquot. As for her, she’ll have a glass of cranberry juice.”
