Slowly and subconsciously, my tongue slithered over my lower lip that had gone dry.
His eyes followed the movement, darkening his orbs. “P-please.”
I wanted it too. So badly. My sense of reasoning was trying to melt into the background, to hide beneath layers of reasons why I should give in and let him kiss me, but I held on desperately.
I couldn’t risk losing my sense of reasoning.
“Let’s not do this.” It was hard not acknowledging the shift of the room’s ambience from tensed and angry to… something more heated.
