“Why don’t you say something, Dahlia? You’ve refused to tell me anything.”
I unbuckled, opened the car door to get down when he grabbed my arm.
“What happened at the audition?”
I swallowed. I knew he was only trying to be nice and he was genuinely concerned. But my brain was fighting emotions. I was trying so hard not to snap at him.
Snapping was actually better than crying but he if he kept this up, I would snap.
