The next day.

When it was time for my meeting with Emily, I went to the appointed place early.

Emily said we'd meet at 8 PM, but I'm a very punctual guy. No matter what the meeting is, I always used to arrive half an hour early.

Today's meeting was significant, so I arrived almost an hour early.
