Bobby's por

My eyes widened on hearing her statement, did she really mean it? My be

dy was stiff as I stared at her in surprise, not minding the killer look Draw

en was given me. I never intended to say that, I even cursed myself silently immediately the word slipped out of my slippery mouth, and I never expecte d to accept my offer. I find it difficult not to act surprised and maintain t he blank look my eyes used to hold. I dont think the breeze has ever been t his good because the seconds that followed immediately she muttered the wor d seemed slower than ever. A feeling of happiness creeps inside of me, I'm h aving this feeling in which I can think of a perfect word to clarify and poi nt out what I am feeling now. She doesn't dislike you as you think, my sub conscious mind screamed in my head. She quickly darted back her eyes to the tan tile, breaking our gaze. I noticed something flickered inside her eye s but before I could comprehend the expression, she looked down, sad, right ? I cough silently, trying to dislodge the lump that was starting to form do wn my throat, due to the sudden silence.

I raised my head, only to be met with the anguished gaze from Draven, the

expression your eyes hold when your body is in excruciating pain. Angry because of this? This silence is making everything Tedious, with no one tal king. I brushed off my hand through my dark hair, trying not to glance at Melissa, which I ended up giving a fleeting look.

*Just wait for me here, I will go get my car" I finally responded, it is very glaring that I only directed my words to Melanie, I watched as she pushed the car door opened and helped Melissa to sit on the Brown leather car se at, only her nøg us visible in the outside. I inhaled deeply, not giving the m anly figure standing opposite me a second look, I instantly started striding to the garage, to pick my car, of course, this night is longer than what I ca n think of, maybe tonight is my longest night, ever.

After walking for a few seconds, I saw what I was looking for, my Holio gli stening under the bright light. I bowed down my head a little as I passed b y the security man who was sitting on a red chair, close to the parking gar age. I can feel the frisson of exhilaration creeping over me, but it's just a pity that being good here now will be seen as a kind of Sympathy I developed

towards her because of her dying father. I'm about to open the car. After pressing the unlock key. Immediately the thought appeared in my mind, 18 ound myself tugging out my hand slowly from the handle. The excitement i

was feeling about some seconds ago faded away at the speed of light. I thu mped my hand to my head in frustration, frustrated. I should have not be en like this towards her from the beginning. "I fuck up big time, man!" I scre eamed, but not that loud, anyway.

After calming down, I gently pushed the door open, before jumping to the driver's seat, the engine buzzed into life, I looked through the windshield, e yes fixed on the hospital mini road. With this, I drive out of the garage.

After a few seconds, I parked my car beside the Oraven yellow Benz that w as sitting in the middle of the Hospital entrance. He was not in sight, which I assumed he must be sitting inside of the car by now.

"Melissa, he is here,' Melanie's voice stopped my train of thought, I glared

at the two. Melanie was holding her hand, but she was looking down inste ad. I opened the car door for her, and she whispered Thank you, silently. Maybe that's not what she said, apparently, her voice does not qualify to b e addressed as a whisper, lower than that.

I waved at Melanie after closing the door and she made a sign which I di ont clearly understand, but I kept mute, pretending like I knew what she was passing across. All this while Oraven doesnt even show his face, anywa y, I care less about his reaction right now.

After wawing at Melanie, I watched as she also entered Oraven's car, and I also turned around to the driver seat Melissa's face was buried in her p alm when I open the car door, I watched her in awe, thinking about what she might be thinking right now, I don't know how many seconds had passe d with me looking at her, not until a flashy yellow car passed by before I c ame back to reality.

1 cleared my throat, trying to attract her attention, but got no reply. I buc kled my seat belt, and then I inserted the car key.

"Can you please buckle your seat belt before we reach the highway?" I asked without looking at her, as I drove out of the hospital premises.

I watched from the corner of my eyes as she raised her still beautiful face e ventually, I smiled. She reached for the seat belt and adjusted it.

Should I help you with that?" I asked when I noticed she was somehow lo st or not having an idea about what she was doing.

"No need;" Her gloomy voice made me glance at her side, her face was dam p. like damp with tears. She has been crying all along, silently. I concent rated back on the hold, wondering about where to start from, 1. meant cong

oling her.

Hmmm " I'm very sorry about your father," I muttered, sincerely.

"Melanie told you everything?" Her voice sounded like I just woke her voice

back.

"She told me, but not everything' 1 pointed out.

"Really?

"Yes,' we stayed silent for a few seconds, looking towards the road ahead of

WS.

"Thank you' her voice came again, but this time I was surprised by her wor ds. Thank you? I dont think I did anything to deserve that from her or di d 1?

"About. wh... at?" I stuttered, giving her a fleeting look.

"Draven told me you drove my dad to the hospital when the Ambulance did

not arrive on time" my heart skipped a heat immediately she finished, that bastard, I cursed under my breath, did I ask him to say anything? When I actually lied about that.

"I didn't...actually'.
