Gasps and murmurs were heard within the crowd. I glanced at the crowd and saw a sea of surprised and confused faces. Meredith smirked victoriously at my stunned state and then stared at the crowd.

"Will you all stand for this?" she said. "Will you all have a low-ranked werewolf rule over you?"

Murmurs again.

"That's what I thought," she scoffed and turned towards us. "This ceremony cannot go on. No one would accept this."

"Alpha Theo," the old man who I knew as Elder Ronald, spoke. "I'm afraid she has a point. Never in the history of this pack has an omega ruled as Luna."
