Jasmine’s POV
My eyes fluttered open, feeling heavy and sticky like they’d been sealed shut for days. The light peaking through the wind was too bright, sending a wobbly feeling to my head. Everything around me felt wrong. My body ached of pain in places I couldn’t even identify. It was enough to drive me crazy. I blinked slowly, trying to make sense of the white ceiling and the faint beep of machines somewhere nearby.
“Ethan?” My voice came out as a whisper, barely loud enough to reach my own ears. No answer. The room remained silent except for the constant beeping of machines. “Kai?”
