He was speechless for a minute or two, just staring wide-eyed at me. I didn't want him to leave- first because I was still scared- second, and most importantly, I wanted him beside me. I do have to admit that I want to use this incident as an opportunity to pull him closer to myself

"Please?" I pleaded, giving him the puppy eyes I knew he couldn't resist while praying silently that he would accept. He let out a defeated sigh and a small smile crept up on the corner of my lips
