Thirteen
I don't remember what happened next, it was as if I had completely blacked out. Which was what made walking into my living room the next morning so strange and completely not normal.
I vaguely remember being driven home in Trey's car but I had imagined that he would have left and not be laying on my sofa at half 9 in the morning.
When I sneaked into the kitchen I found both my parents sitting there drinking their coffees and eating what looked like waffles with eggs and bacon. I knew they couldn't stay away from my new waffle maker.
