“We have two hours before going downtown to meet with someone else.” I said.

Emily had been acting weird, and I knew why.

“Okay.” She replied.

I stood behind her, but close to her. We were going to the twentieth floor of The Damon Empire. The elevator ride would take about three to five minutes.

“Do you have questions?” I asked.

“Not really.” Emily replied. “Am I taking this job from someone else?”

“She's interim.” I answered her, clearing my throat. It was the truth.
