Sapphire POV:

When Mileena left out the room, I felt something was off with her. I was having that feeling for a while now. It did not just start; it was going on for some years now. Ever since Mileena shifted into her white wolf at 5, a lot had changed. People still consider my daughter an abomination that will ruin the pack. There are a few that believe that she is a blessed Lycan, from the moon goddess. All I ever wanted was for my daughter to have a normal life. but she is being written off like some disease that is waiting to happen.

A mother knows when her daughter is in pain. I know Mileena is trying her best not to burden us. She feels that she is the reason for everything that is happening in our lives. I want to tell her never to think that way, it hurts me to see my daughter this way. I try not to get involved because I want Mileena to come to me and her father and tell us what is going on. Sometimes at night she cries out for help, and I can hear it in my heart. I want to act by going to the King and Queen with this issue, but members of the pack are causing an uproar.

The King and Queen distanced themselves from me and Jedidiah. We were well-respected warriors of the pack; we were head warriors. a few weeks ago, the majesties demoted me and Jedidiah. Now we are regular warriors. Jedidiah and I were upset about the situation but there were nothing we could do about it.

When Mileena went upstairs Jedidiah and I sat in the kitchen, I went over to the stove place tea kettle on I pulled out two cups from the cabin and I placed coffee in the cup when the tea kettle whistled, I pour the water in putting in cream and sugar. I went over to seat at the table with my mate. We drank in silence until I spoke. “What are we going to do Jedidiah?”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, what are we going to do about people bullying Mileena”

“How do you know that happening? Did she tell you?”

“No, but I can tell something is going on, and she does not want to tell us. “

“You cannot speak about something that you don’t know about Sapphire, there so much that had happened to us. I don’t need another problem right now without the facts.”

“I know Jedidiah if you can only see what I see, Mileena is not herself. To be honest, I never see her smile anymore, the looks that I been getting is she look depress and broken. I just need to know what is troubling our child?”

“I feel that in due time, if Mileena wants us to know, then she will tell us, otherwise we need to focus on other things now.”

“You made be right”

Later that night, while I lay in my bedroom, I heard whimpers when I got up from my bed. I look over to see that my mate is asleep as I walk out of my room. I hear them again. I notice they was coming from Mileena room. I walk over, place my ear to her door, I listen.

“Please stop, I’m not an abomination, leave me alone,” Mileena whimpers.

I stood there with tears in my eyes. Hearing my baby girl suffering like that just made my blood boil, I don’t care what my mate said. I must protect my pup no matter what. Even if that leads to banishing me from this pack, then so be it.
