Chapter 6

The Insurance Book

*Dylan point of view.*

I sat with my legs crossed sipping from the bottle of champagne directly as the two boys who offended me were still begging for mercy, they were both covered with bruises and blood. I don't plan to kill them but they already look dead to me.

“Boss please give us a second chance to make amends, don't kill us please.”

“Boss we will do anything you ask of us as a punishment, just find a place in your heart to forgive us.” The other said with tears flowing from his eyes.

“Can you both be quiet and let me enjoy my champagne without your noise? If you want death, just tell me the words and for old time sake as your boss, I will definitely grant that request,wait a minute!! Now i understand the message you have been trying to pass to me, you want me to punish you with death.'' I laughed evilly as they started begging and not meaning what I just said.

“Hey you.” I pointed at one of my boys and he walked to me.

“Yes boss.”

“Tell John to come in here with my favourite toy gun.” He nodded as he left to deliver my message. I saw the fear in the eyes of the two. They kept on pleading but I just ignored them. I hate people that disobey me.

John came in with a box and placed it on my table,I gave him a sign to open it which he did and there is my precious toy.

I took the gun out and rubbed it with my hands, kissing it with my lips then I said,”I missed this so much,so guys who will go first, I really need to taste my toy if it still works, just select yourself while I get ready to pull the trigger.”

I noticed both of them arguing, none of them wanted to get killed,it resulted in a fight among them when I gave John a sign to stop them both.

“You know why I love us humans, we can never die for someone, making Jesus more trustworthy to rely on, I used to think you two are best of friends, so what happened? Well I have other important things to do, let's just end this.”

I pointed the gun at each of them taking turns then I finally pulled the trigger and the gun shot was heard so loud,both of them urinated on themselves, they checked and noticed they were still alive and I didn't shoot them.

“John i dont want blood in my hands, I am a decent CEO in the UK now, give them to the police so they can face their punishment, I am off here.” I gave my instructions for John to carry out.

I had an online meeting using Zoom. I just finished the meeting when John came in saying,”Are you not bored, boss?”

“Come on John, stop this boss of a thing, you are still my close friend okay?”

“I just love to address you as boss and it will be weird saying your name.”

“Well, just try getting used to it.”

“I will soon enough, you haven't had any lady since you returned or should i inform Juliet that you have returned back to the country, you used to like her then.” he said.

“I am glad you are using the word use to like her then, i know she will be dating now, just get me any hot girls for fun before i think about the right time to fulfil my late father request, i am feeling all sleepy, when i am ready we will visit the others that stole from me.”

“Yes boss, goodnight.”

I entered the bathroom to have a refreshing bath before going to bed.

*DREAM*

“Who are you ?” I asked the lady crying wearing a white gown.

“Please help me mister, help me, i want to live, save me please.” She pleaded and I couldn't even see her face properly.

I opened my eyes and asked myself, what kind of dream was that?

* Rhoda point of view.*

“ I don't know where my parents kept it.” I said to them but in my heart, I kept thinking why they need my parents' insurance book. They already deceived me to sign the papers when I was a kid and took everything my parents left behind. Now all of a sudden,it's my parents' insurance book they are interested in.

“Rhoda, I have no patience like my husband. If you know what exactly is good for you, tell me where your parents insurance book is, do you know what it contains? or do you think without proper guidance you can take it all?” She yelled at me and I got frightened.

“Aunty I am telling the truth, I do not know where it is, you have to believe me aunty, uncle please tell aunty to believe me, I do not want her getting angry at me.” I went on my knees pleading with my uncle. I have a feeling the old ways of her beating me so badly are about to come back.

“Rhoda if you want me to beg my wife not to get mad at you, it's simple, tell me where the damn book is you bastard child or else, i will unleash my demon on you.” My uncle threatened me and I do not know why no one wants to believe me when I am just telling the truth to them.

“Uncle for real, i do not know where the insurance book is, you have to believe me uncle.”

“You know what they do to unfortunate children like you, it's this.” He gave me a blow on my stomach and I landed on the floor holding my stomach in pain, it hurts so much.

“I will be leaving you right now expecting to know the whereabouts of the book by morning. If I get the same response, I will send you to your early grave. I am going to kill you with bare hands.” he threatened before leaving.

“Now all the good care you have enjoyed these few days just ended today, except you tell us where it is before you can continue to enjoy it,you stupid brat.” my aunt slapped me so hard on my back before she left.

I cried in pains on the floor thinking of commiting suicide.
