Aiden sighed heavily and fiddled with his hands as he thought of how to explain to Zoey.

"So basically, when I was little, my mom was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia." Aiden began and Zoey nodded as a go ahead.

"It's a Neurodegenerative disease where the front part of your brain starts to shrink which causes you to lose your memory and stuff." Aiden said quietly.

"She was okay for a while but it doesn't have a cure so eventually she started to forget things." Aiden said and took a big pause.
