Ever since the incident with April, Zoey has been acting all weird around Jake.

She suddenly didn't know how to act around him, she was feeling self conscious because April had asked if she was Jake's fling.

She knew she wasn't Jake's fling, not that she wanted to be.

She just felt the need for them to put a label on their relationship.

She couldn't say they were acquaintances because they were too close to be that.

And friends sound a bit weird since they live together.

And calling him her housemate didn't really sound like a good idea either.
