Luna sat at her desk, staring blankly at her computer screen. She couldn’t focus on her work, her thoughts were consumed with worry over Ethan.

She had noticed a change in him over the past few days, ever since the meeting with the neighboring packs that had ended with a veiled threat. Ethan had become more distant and withdrawn, and Luna didn’t know how to reach him.

“Hey, Luna. Earth to Luna,” her coworker, Sarah, said, waving her hand in front of Luna’s face.

Luna blinked and turned to Sarah. “Sorry, Sarah. I guess I’ve just got a lot on my mind.”
