Astor wrapped an arm around Charlotte, pulling her close. "I don’t say it enough, but thank you," he murmured.

Charlotte looked up at him, puzzled. "For what?"

"For giving me this life. For believing in us. For being my wife and the mother of my children," he said softly. "I know I wasn’t always the man you deserved, but I promise you, I’ll spend every day proving how much I love you."

Charlotte’s heart swelled. "Astor… you already have."

She leaned up, pressing a tender kiss to his lips.

Astor grabbed her, pushing her closer to himself, making Charlotte chuckle.
