Cat is shown her room; she walks in and is amazed at how big it is. This was the kind of house that she would have loved to move into. But as life would have it, Alex blew up the money.

She felt moving in here was life's way of restoring her list hope, of giving her the apartment she had been saving for even though the money was blown away.

" I made this place specifically to your taste" Aaron stood at her back.

She had not heard him come in, she moved back in fear.

" I did not hear the door open," she said.

She had fear in her eyes as this was something she never planned for.

She moved away from him.

" You planned this all along, using the little time to arrange the room to my taste?"

" I know what I want and I go for it"

" What do you mean by that? You ruined my marriage?" She fumed.

Her hands were folded, crossed right under her breast. She was upset that he had planned this with Alex.

" I told you already, I am not going to be a part of your accusation. You know you are accusing me, right? I can not go so low to end your marriage. I saw that Alex is a loser, and I had my way." he shrugged his shoulders like he had done nothing wrong.

" You did not let me think at all, did you even ask me if this was what I wanted?"

" I just helped you out of your misfortune and misery; you should be grateful for that," he winked at her.

She hated the way he made her feel, the way her heart increased its bite each time he talked, and the manner he talked to her.

The way he looked at her with those eyes that were like sparks.

She swallowed, wondering why she was having some silly feelings for someone who took her in without giving her a chance to think it through.

The one who did the thinking and agreed that it was the best decision for her. The older brother to the one who had thrown her out.

" What if I prefer the streets to this place?"

" I know that is a lie and you know it too. Make yourself comfortable. This is my home, but I have rules, so do not get too comfortable in this place," he said.

Cat rolled her eyes. At least she gets to meet this part of another person. Alex had no rules for her, and she saw it as love; she was free in a way. She didn't know that he was planning something even more dangerous for her.

" What are your rules?" She asked.

Her hands were still crossed under her breast.

" Here are the things I like, the things I do not want to see, and the things you must do. I love orderliness, and you have to follow it through." he threw her a paper.

She caught it with both hands. Her eyes went wide as she saw the rules that were there.

" What's this? You brought me here acting like I rented this place" she said.

" I bet you have not seen the others; there is something nice down there; it's like an extra package for you," he said.

She held the paper and looked to the end of the rules. She saw what he was talking about and scoffed.

" Is this it?" She rolled her eyes.

" Of course, what is it supposed to be? You should be glad that I still consider you even after what we did that night," he said.

It was funny to her that he considered her worthy.

" I'm sure you had a good time. That is why you came after me right after you knew that Alex was asking for a divorce; you fucking knew who I was and went ahead with me," she said.

It made Aaron laugh. He stepped a little further closer to her. The tension builds up between them.

Cat's eyes went to his chest; it was well-built; she swallowed as she remembered how she had her hands there that night.

" You like what you see huh?" He arched his eyebrows at her.

" I don't. Don't be full of yourself." She turned her face away from his body.

" I bet you could not resist me that night and you had to give in. And oh, I also know that Alex was giving you the busy slogan and didn't give you sex, so you couldn't hold back when you met me" he winked at her.

She hated that he was right, she wondered how he knew that Alex was not giving her his time, down to their private life.

" You should not think about it too much; I was vulnerable and did not know so much that was going on around me," she said.

" I know how you think, how you reason, and I can swear that you were very much aware of what was going on and what you were doing," he said.

She fumed; this was something she did not want him to know, but it seemed there was no need for it; he already knew that she was very much aware of what she was doing and with whom she was having it.

She bit her lips in pain and regret.

" About this" he raised the paper to her face.

" I am doing this with you because you are my wife now. You belong to me, and I want to have you in my bed," he said.

There was no shame in it.

Cat felt he should be a little ashamed that he was asking his brother's wife to bed, no, scratch that, his brother's ex-wife to bed.

Now it dawned on her that she was truly divorced, and there was never going to be Alex anymore.

" Fine, I agree with the last part if you say we are truly married. But I am not going to follow the other rules that you wrote here. I am not your slave, and you are not going to treat me like one," he said.

" Okay then, let's see how you handle that" he smirked.

Cat went to open the door and opened it.

" I want you out of this room," she said.

" Is something wrong? Did I say something wrong to you?"

" You said nothing, but I want you out of here," she said.

She was still standing by the door, holding it ajar.

" I want some privacy, leave"

" You know that there is nothing you think you want to hide from me, girl" he raised her head up with his finger.

She removed her face and looked at the other side.

" Leave," she said again.

" Fine, if you need anything, do not hesitate to ring me for it"

" Don't worry, I won't need anything from you." She waited at the door for him to leave.

He left the room and Cat exhaled. She was exhausted from everything that had been happening to her lately.

Everything was happening so fast and she was confused.

She went to her bag and brought out her phone. When she turned it on, the first notification was from Alex. She sighed. Her hands held her phone so tight. She was upset as she saw that Alex was still sending her messages even after all that had happened.

" What does he want?" She rolled her eyes.

She looked at the message intently and read it, her heart beating so fast as she read the things that Alex had sent to her.
