The next morning, I forced Leo to get dressed and made him seat in the car. He wasn't frowning. Wasn't squeezing his face. He was just there, staring out the car window. I hadn't seen him smile at anything ever since our conversation yesterday. He carried an empty look in his eyes all through and it scared me to death at what was wrong with him. I was desperate to lighten up his mood.
I took him first to the book store to get more comic books for him but he refused to pick any of his favorites. He just stared and let me choose for him...
