Later, Margaret appeared in the doorway, her eyebrows raised.

“Hey you. I noticed you have been quiet lately. Board drama?” After saying her hello to Leo and giving him a gentle kiss on his cheeks, she followed me into the kitchen.

“No,”  I replied. Too quickly as I rinsed the glass cup.

“I see.” Margaret stepped inside and leaned against the counter. “So it’s drama between you and your parents?”

"Not at all." I gave her a flat look. "I and my parents would never."

"I see it's something to do with you and Alexander then."
