**A New Kind of Love**

The order to go after Indigo 12X (aka Jake Stanton) didn't go down very well with his handler, Jim, but an order was an order. A senior member of the project's monitoring committee, Col. Wade, had taken the issue of Jake's disappearance to those at the top and had managed to obtain an order to go after him at all costs and neutralize him only if necessary, but, according to them, it was imperative that everything possible be done to bring him back alive to be debriefed and evaluated.
