When we reached the room, I carefully placed her on the bed, going back to lock the door securely. Eric was out with the boys, hunting for Uriel, while I stayed with her. I had made a promise to Jovita, and I planned to keep it. “The next time he lays a hand on you, I'll have his head”. I was going to have his head this time.
