Jayden's POV

I felt Jayden's body still, and his gaze suddenly flickered to the woods.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to the side. I could hear my heart beating wildly.

I wanted to ask if something was wrong but my tongue clung to my palette from fear, today was going well, did something have to spoil it? I groaned inwardly.

Jayden’s eyes remained fixed on the woods as he started to lead me back to where he parked his car.
