I approached the seller and ordered mami and rice. I'm really hungry.

"Put some chili on it"

"You didn't wait for me" a baritone voice said at my back. I ignored him and immediately took the order.

"What kind of food is this? Is it safe?" I stopped when I heard the man's voice.

"Even if you said English, I still understand. My merchandise is not poisonous. You are rude."

"Be patient, Manong. That's how it is when you are ignorant," I said smiling to the salesman and then quickly glared at the man.

"You can leave me here. Instead of insulting our food, we were not in the same class though."

"One more, more" I hissed lastly and smiled big. I took a lime and a spoon.

"Oh don't tell me you don't know how to squeeze a lime" I said with a hint of annoyance. He looked at me badly, I even handed him the lime in my hand and spoon.

"Make sure I won't end up in the toilet for a week after this" I just smiled and nodded. He did as I said while I started to eat.

"F*ck! Why it's so spicy!" I continued to eat mami out of spite. I just made him feel like he wouldn't bite again.

"Why did you stop?"

"Are you kidding me girl?"

I rolled my eyes at what I heard. "That line is obsolete pre. Let's paraphrase it, Are you kidding me, girl?" I even imitated his voice which made him look at me even more.

"Why is this so spicy and yours was not?" it turned to Manong who was even more withdrawn from the way he was looking.

"Hey, that's really how you eat for the first time, isn't it?" I got his attention at the same time, he looked like he could punch Manong any minute now.

"What's the connection?" if it's not really bad to pray that the Lord will take this man that I did earlier.

"Since you're a boy, it's better for you. Isn't that the way it is?" I asked Manong with a smile and secretly signaled him to say yes.

"O-yes g-that's really it" I widened Manong's smile even more while turning to the man.

I was laughing inside because his face was immediately red and he was sweating immediately. I continued eating while still secretly laughing.

"Thanks for the food!" I said cheerfully when I finished my meal to mami. I took a glass and then drank water.

I rubbed my stomach full of food. And handed my glass to the man. "Water?" he didn't accept my offer of water and I just let it go.

Its face is already red, like a tomato. But I still didn't feel sorry for how he was going to kill me.

"Hurry up there, you're shy. There's more to eat." it didn't move and just continued eating.
