“What!” Angela exclaimed, looking up at the old woman, hoping what she heard was wrong.
“You heard me right. You're two weeks pregnant,” Old Margaret answered, and the look of melancholy flashed in her eyes for a brief moment.
Angela subconsciously touched her flat stomach and couldn't believe a life was growing there. Never in her wildest dreams had she expected something of this sort. Thinking back to the occasional stomach pains she had, Angela realized her pregnancy was the cause of this.
