I didn’t look away from the blood on the floor, but I didn’t linger on it either. My men were already moving, efficient and silent, wrapping the body and head in black plastic. Eve had also woken up after Mia had helped. The smell of iron hung heavy in the air, mixing with the faint floral scent of the ruined decorations.
Chaos. Perfect wedding day.
