I’m weaving through the first line of trees when the sound of footsteps draws my attention behind me.

I turn around, ready for an attack, when I see Camille behind me.

“Are you following me now?”

“When you run like that, yes. Whatever is happening, I’m in.”

“Yeah, why?”

“They ran into the woods where the females were hunting.” I see him putting together the pieces of my implication. “We have to shift.”
