I have been avoiding Hayden since the shopping; I always have myself cooped up in the library, reading, trying to escape the fate the moon goddess had cursed me with. 

But, most especially, I try not to think about anything. I have been in here since this afternoon, reading anything and everything I can lay my hands on. I wasn't just reading to escape my fate but to also escape my reality. 

I was lost in the pages of a book I found in the library talking about gifts and how to control them. Cain only told me the consequences of using the gifts; he called it a push-and-pull affair....
