Leo’s driver drove us to his office building. He had an appointment this morning, an appointment he had rescheduled because of me.

“Don’t go to the office today, peaches. Go home and get some rest. I’ll leave work early and come back to you and our kids,” he assured me, kissing me gently on the lips before stepping out of the car.

I watched him walk towards the building entrance as the driver pulled out of the parking spot and reversed to take me back home.
