The push was fast and purposeful, the move of someone who had calculated that if the rooftop ended here then it ended for both of them, that taking me over the edge was the only play left.
He was fast.
Leo was faster.
The arm that came around my waist pulled me backward so hard I left my feet, and I heard the sound of Zachary's forward momentum carrying him past where I had been standing, carrying him to the edge where there was nothing, carrying him over it.
