A soft voice corrected that exhilarated figure, my heart danced in my rib cage to see my best friend Maeve there.

“How did you get here, Maeve? And Bruce? How?”

In my excitement, I was finding it challenging to speak my mind, their sudden presence pleasantly surprised me.

Maeve’s smile was a true example of the joys of the spring, she tilted her neck and lowered her shirt a bit.
