The lock on our flat’s door baffled me, I called mom to ask her.

“I am at your aunt’s place. Eddie was missing you so, I came to see him.”

“What about Jade?”

My baby sister’s loneliness instantly worried me.

“Jade has gone on a study trip with her university fellows. She will come back after a week.”

“Superb!”

My free day ended just at the beginning, perhaps I should go to work. I was a fool to think they would be waiting to see me.
