Lucius' POV

I sat on the ground, refusing to believe what I had just experienced.

The moon was at it's peak at the time when Raine collapsed and I held her in my hands.

I sat on the cold ground of the clearing, falling to the ground for support instead of her, my mind began to race and my heart beat, with unbelief and with emotions.

As Raine laid unconscious in my arms, I could see her vulnerability, I strongly wanted to protect her, and not allow any harm come to her, in a strange way. This feeling was primal and I couldn't control it.
