This is the part where I have to make a choice that would change our relationship forever. I will take the risk to mark her and set her free from the darkness.

I broke the kiss and stare deeply into her eyes.

"I want to mark you," I explained, my heart pounding at the thought. "It could bind our life forces together. It's risky, but it might be the only way to fully protect you from the curse."
