Chapter 1 One

Chapter 1 One

"Would you rather sit on a pizza and give a blowjob or eat a pizza while riding the D?"

I choked on my pizza as I stared at the girl in the SpongeBob pajamas in front of me. "What the fuck?"

"Answer my question." She stuffed another pizza in her mouth and stared at me, her eyebrows raised.

"Eat pizza while riding the D," I muttered as I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. "Stop asking me silly questions."

Ava laughed. "Tomorrow we should grab dinner at that new Indian place down the road. We have been eating anchovies pizza three days in a row. I swear my poop comes out looking like anchovies."

"Ew!" I closed the pizza box and placed it on the table. She really had to put pizza and poop in one sentence. "I'm on a budget, you know I'm saving for college."

My gap year was about to end in three months. Ava and I have lived our entire life in Newport, Shropshire. It was a small town, but Newport has a charm far better than any big city. Home to three schools, a thriving nightlife and surrounded by beautiful countryside, it was hard to find anything to complain about.

I have lived with Ava and her family since my sophomore year of high school. Both my parents and little brother died in a house fire. I was the only survivor. That's because I had snuck out with Ava to a pub on the night of the tragedy. It was the talk of the town. Everyone said I was lucky, but sometimes I wished I had died with them too. Life got so hard and complicated afterward.

Ava's family was so nice and generous to take me in. They paid for my education and treated me like their own daughter. After I graduated High school they were even insisting on paying for college. Ava got enrolled at the Harper Adams academy majoring in Advanced veterinary nursing. I wanted to go there too, but I didn't want Ava's family to pay tuition for me. They were more than happy to do it, but I knew I was old enough to make things happen myself.

That's why I took a gap year. During my gap year, I worked as a waitress at our local coffee shop in the morning and as a librarian at night. The pay wasn't much, but it would be enough to cover my first-year expenses. Five months ago, Ava's parents decided to go backpacking in South America. They left the house for us. So now, it was just Ava and me. Not having Ava's parents around is also the reason why we always go out for dinner.

"I didn't ask you to buy dinner with your savings," Ava opened a bottle of coke with her long acrylic nails. It always bothered me, because what if it just pops? "We're going to buy Indian tomorrow."

"But I don't want you to spend your earnings," I pouted, Ava worked part-time at the veterinary clinic. "You already bought us pizza three days in a row."

"And I will buy you pani puri tomorrow," she stated in a matter-of-fact tone. "Don't you crave that? Or those big samosas and matar paneer? Oh my god, I see you drooling!" she yelled laughing.

I wiped the corners of my mouth because I was indeed drooling. "Stop! Now you make me crave it."

"We are going to have matar paneer tomorrow, baby!"

"And gulab jamun," I stated. At this point, I knew it would be useless to go against her. Once Ava has something on her mind, she will act on it whether you agree or disagree. I picked the pizza box from the table and brought it to the kitchen. "There are still three pizzas left, do you want to have that for breakfast tomorrow?"

"No, I will just make a peanut butter sandwich," she said as she grabbed her phone from the charger. "I know...I don't like peanut butter, but I don't see myself eating another anchovy."

I chuckled and headed towards the kitchen. There were still dishes in the sink so I decided to do that. As I was washing the dishes, a small smile appeared on my face. I would finally go to college in three months. I was so excited. I have dreamed of becoming a nutritionist since middle school. And now my dreams were finally coming true. In three months I will attend Harper Adams academy majoring in food technology in nutrition.

"YASMINNN!!!! You will not believe this!" Ava screamed as I heard her running towards the kitchen. I wiped my hand on a cloth and turned around to see a hyper Ava staring at me. I think she drank too much coke.

"What?"

She handed me her phone. "Read!"

I grabbed it and read the article on her screen. "What? Milan Vasilios is looking for a nutritionist? What does that have to do with me?" I gave her the phone back and looked up at her confused. I wasn't a nutritionist yet, so that article has nothing to do with me.

"I was thinking that maybe you could be his new nutritionist?" she squeaked, batting her eyelashes at me. "It's a great idea, right?"

I chuckled because I was pretty sure she was joking. But when she kept staring at me, I was starting to doubt it. "You're kidding, right? It's the most ridiculous idea of the century."

"I already made your cv for you."

"You did what?!" How long was I doing the dishes for her to make an entire cv for me? "The cv will be everything except impressive."

"Not if you lie." She turned around and walked back to the living room.

"We are not going to lie in my cv," I said as I followed her. Her laptop was on the couch and I could see her email open. "Did you already drafted an email?!"

She nodded her head, smiling at me proudly. "Trust me Yas, I'm doing you a big favor."

She grabbed the laptop and I could see in slow motion how she moved the mouse cursor to the send button.

"No, don't even think about it !" I yelled out mortified, trying to grab the laptop out of her hands.

"Already did it, babe. Woops, you will be the future nutritionist of the Milan Vasilios." Ava snickered as she closed the laptop and looked up at me. "Tssk, why so angry? I hook you up with a well-paying job so that you don't have to worry about your college tuition anymore."

"Avalon Marie James!" I cried out angrily, pulling furiously at my hair. "What the fuck did you do? Oh my god, this is so bad. I don't even have a degree in nutrition!"

Ava just shrugged and gave me a smug smirk. "Then you will just have to fake it until you make it."

"What?!" I swear Ava is getting crazier day by day. "This is not an orgasm that I can fake, It's a whole freaking degree!"

She rolled her eyes and explained. "Eventually you will become a real nutritionist, if I remember it correctly, that is what you wanted to study a year ago. Now, you will work for this hot man, get a fat paycheck for doing what? Preparing his food. The man needs to eat healthily. It's not hard, just use google. And do you know what you can do with that fat paycheck? Yes, baby, you can go to college. You will not really be a fake fake nutritionist, but more like a temporary fake nutritionist... Well, that is until you graduate."

I massaged my head at her stupid way of seeing things. "Your logic gives me a headache. He will never believe me."

"Oh, he will," Ava smirked evilly as she rubbed her hands together. "After he will see your fake diploma and CV."

"There's also a fake diploma?" I whispered as I plopped down next to her on the couch. "How did you do it?"

"Canva and I watch youtube. I also put my number for reference."

I stared at her in horror. I cannot believe this child. This is by far the stupidest thing she had ever done. And trust me, Ava did a lot of stupid things. "Can I...can I see the cv?"

"Sure." She pulled the document up on her laptop. I scrolled down as I read everything she wrote. Every lie she wrote.

"I was a personal trainer? To who?"

"We will see about that later. I just thought a personal trainer would be a great achievement."

"I am a very active individual and attend the gym 2-3 times a week. Staying fit and healthy is something which I take great pride in, and it also allows me to meet new people and build relationships with individuals from all walks of life," I read out loud before looking up to her with an 'are you serious?' expression. "I have been eating pizza with anchovies three days in a row and you talk about staying fit and healthy?"

"It doesn't matter. He will not know that," she said and took her laptop back.

"I cannot even cook a meal for myself."

She smiled at me. "Then I suggest you start."

I shrugged my shoulders at her. "He is Milan Vasilios. He will get a lot of applications. I'm not even worried. Mine will just get lost in the big pile of applications. As it should."
