Turning to look at him I force the bump in my throat down. “Of course. Respect all the way,” I hold out my hand for him to shake to show him the respect I really do have for him.

“Good. Then we won’t have any problems,” he smiles at me before turning and walking away. I laugh because I realize that he was trying to intimidate me like he thinks he should. He does intimidate me but not in the ‘I’ll be cleaning my gun’ way. More in the I am in love with his daughter and want, no, need his blessing.
