“Jack, don’t talk with your mouth full,” mom snapped at him. “Honestly,” she huffed, “I thought all my children were grown.”

“You know these two are never leaving home, Olivia,” Tanya said pointing between daddy and Earl. Mom nodded in agreement with a groan added for an effect causing all of us children to laugh. I caught Colt’s eye and sent him and awkward smile. I totally didn’t get why I was nervous.
