Cleo stops laughing first, “We usually drink,” she looks at him then to Maddy, “but she hasn’t been feeling good, so the ice cream is probably already too much.” I watch Maddy nod her head and look at her ice cream. She looks more upset than I expected her to. I can tell by the way that Cleo and Kierra keep looking at her that there is more to the story.
