What is he looking angry at when I should be the one feeling that?

I grabbed my phone, taking my eyes off him.

“Uh, I’ll call you later about my decision, Dy.”

“Sure. Everything okay?”

I bit my lip, feeling nervous all of a sudden. Why didn’t I felt Jacob’s arrival? Does my senses get numbed, as well?
