I stood up from the bed after finishing my meal, picking up the tray and making my way out of the room toward the kitchen. The aches in my legs had disappeared, allowing me to walk faster, almost as if the pain had been a distant memory.

The hallway leading to the kitchen was quiet, the silver plaque indicating its location glinting faintly in the light. As I walked, my eyes darted around, hoping to spot Light, or at least someone who could tell me where she was.
