“You’re from the Moon Pack?” The question hung in her throat, coming out more like a squeak. Her eyes widened in shock as she took a cautious step away from me. “How's that even possible?”

I paused, staring at her as she battled with her thoughts and words. It became so obvious that there was more to the fact that I was from the Moon Pack than I’d thought, but I couldn’t get why the pack had such a reaction on them.
