“I accept your rejection.” As soon as the words went out my mouth, a searing pain tore through my neck, moving down to my heart and exploding all over my body. 

A guttural growl of pain left my lips and in that moment, everything went red. My wolf came forward, and my entire body felt like they were being ripped in half. 

“Seize her!” I heard the faraway voice of Matteo, and a shot was fired in my neck to hinder my transformation.
