Young Lucas, stared at Selena in confusion, before his lips could utter a word, Alpha Damien pushed him to a side.
Alpha Damien stormed toward Selena, grasped her long dark hair, tossing her roughly to the ground, as her parents screamed with tears in their eyes. “Alpha Damien, please spare my daughter's life,” her father pleaded.
Alpha Damien let go of Selena, stormed toward her father, raised his sword, and separated his head from his neck.
Selena and her mother screamed, weeping bitterly.
Selena’s heart raced faster as Alpha Damien approached her with the sword, stained with her father’s blood. He raised it up to the sky, and suddenly the sky was filled with a heavy dark cloud. There was no rain, but the thunder angrily struck, and the Red Moon appeared with a strange omen.
“Alpha Damien, please don't kill that child,” a quivering voice cried from a distance. It was the oldest white witch.
But Alpha Damien gleefully chuckled and ruthlessly struck Selena’s stomach with his sword, parting her stomach, and creating a long slide wound on her belly.
She screamed in pain, her trembling palm placed on the wound as she fell to the ground. Her mother sobbed and rushed toward her, holding her injured daughter in her arms.
But Luna Elvira brought out a dagger and swiftly sliced her mother’s throat, her body falling heavily to the ground breathless. And the warriors dragged her away from Selena.
The sounds of thunder increased as Alpha Damien stood in front of the dying Selena. He maliciously laughed, and spat on her.
Selena's eyes slowly looked up to the moon, “Dear Moon Goddess, please give me another chance at life. I want to take my revenge on everyone present here today. Please,” she muttered as her eyes shut down, a drop of tear flowed down her nose line. Her breath stopped in an instant.
Alpha Damien raised his sword and cut off her head.
The afternoon sky became as dark as night, and a hush fell over the land that day. Sadly, these evil people had reincarnated into the present world, as her family and husband.
I didn't know the trick the Moon Goddess was playing, and time will reveal all. Back to the present day.
Human’s World;
“Aria, who is this young man, and why is he staring at everyone like he had a ghost?” Desmond questioned, his face scrunched with rage.
Aria hit Lucas with her backhand, and he looked at her. She raised her brows slightly, flickering her eyes toward the direction of her extended family and cocking her head.
Lucas understood her signal. He huffed, “I’m Lucas,” he said, mysteriously staring at everyone. Aria nervously laughed and down her froth.
“You know today is a very important day, Aria, and you brought him…” Susan spoke, pointing at Lucas, “Like… What is he? And why do you have a man with you?” She angrily asked, shaking her rapidly in disappointment.
“I’m not he, I'm Lucas,” Lucas responded to her, staring at Aria, “I will wait for you in the car.” He provocatively uttered and walked away.
Aria rolled her eyes, and let in a deep breath of frustration. Moved toward the couch and took her position.
“Aria what was that? Who was that stranger?” Linda raised a question, but Aria kept mute.
“Enough ladies. Let's start the event of the day,” Desmond announced.
Everyone sat upright. different topics were brought up to the table. And a lot of issues were also deliberated on. But the one that struck Aria the most, was the family suggesting for her to consider having a child soon. Their words and actions were no news to her, because she’d experienced it a lot of times. And she got used to proving to them that she had thick skin.
Finally, the gathering was over. Aria stood up, deeply sighed in relief, and walked away to catch up with Lucas who was still waiting for her in the car.
Desmond stood at the luxurious transparent window, his arms wrapped around his chest. He maliciously gazed at Aria and Lucas from a distance.
“Should we be bothered about her new friend?” Linda asked Desmond, her leg crossed over the other.
Desmond whiffed, “Let them be for now. Our major focus should be on how to take over the company from Aria.” Moving away from the window toward Jasper, his hands tucked in his pockets. He gazed right into Jasper’s eyes, “Any new plans on how to eliminate her?”
“I have something very good I’m working on,” Jasper responded.
Desmond's lips curled into a smile, “Make sure not to mess things up, like the last time boy.” He turned to Linda’s direction, “How many shareholders do we have on our side now?”
“We just have three. The rest are proving stubborn. They are still acting loyal to her father.”
Desmond gleefully chuckled, “They never learn. Tell the boys to send a message to them, and anyone still proving stubborn should be taken out of the way.” he looked at them one after the other, “Let’s all get to work. We have just three months to push for her impeachment,” grabbing his suitcase, “See you all at the top.” An evil smile ran through his face as he walked away, leaving the rest behind.

Lucas and Aria drove for a little distance, and the car stopped by the roadside. Aria let out a deep breath of frustration, “You have been quiet for a while. This is making me uncomfortable.” She stared at Lucas with dimmed eyes, “What is going on with you? At least say something,” she raised her hands in frustration.
But Lucas still kept mute.
“OK, I'm losing my patience. What is going on with you? Did I do anything wrong in introducing you to my extended family? Will the task be too much on you?”
“I can't kill them,” he groaned and looked her straight in the eyes.
Her heart skipped a little, “You can't kill who?”
“My parents and my best friend.”
“W- wait. What are you talking about?”
“I can't kill the people you want me to. Your extended family and your husband,” he calmly said, inclining backward on the car seat.
Aria stared at him, confusion plastered on her face.
