I was going to die. That was certain now. I was in the clutches of hunters.

Harvey and Charles wanted to kill me because I was a werewolf, and Bena wanted to kill me because I stood in her way to Lawrence. I was going to die. Or maybe I was dead already.

When I opened my eyes, I saw darkness in front of me and the pain in my body told me that I was still very much alive.

My head was very sore from the attack. I felt sure it was bleeding, but it wasn't bandaged. Harvey and Charles certainly wouldn't have done that.
