“Jasmine left the house in the middle of the night.” I blurted out, hoping to distract his attention from trying to seduce me.

“Excuse me?” Jade raised a brow, retracting his hands from my waist and taking a step back.

“Brenda and I found out last night and followed her into the woods,” I explained further, watching every bit of his expression, hoping he believed me.

“You what?!” His eyes shot open and eventually turned into a glare.
