24. Resignation

Kim didn't even know what had happened.

The last thing she remembered was boarding a taxi, giving the driver the address where she wanted to be taken and shutting her eyes and then, the next thing, she woke up tied to a chair in the middle of a very big room that looked as if it was an empty godown.

There was no sign of life near her and it was eerily quiet.

She tried wiggling but she was securely fastened in the chair she was seated on and it was like the chair had been welded to the floor because it also didn't move.
