Hazel came out of the examination room with her forehead neatly bandaged. She found Eric on the phone, waiting for her. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. However, Hazel was still not completely calm after what had happened.

James' condition might not be too serious either. And even though she didn't want to, Hazel couldn't stop thinking about James. She could have let James get hurt and not sacrificed herself for him.

“How did the examination go?” Eric asked, approaching Hazel.

“Nothing to worry about,” Hazel replied.

“Then wait here for a moment. I’ll handle the paperwork.”

Hazel nodded in response, sitting down on the waiting chair.
