Vera rushed to the corner, tumbling the clay jug for all its contents into the cup before rushing back to the bed.

“Here you go, Raya, drink this,” Ursula stretched out to her.

Raya was still screaming and rolling side to side, when Leo helped her sit upright.

Grandma and Vera forcefully poured the water down her throat, hoping it'd make her feel better and tell them what was wrong with her.

Raya felt relieved by the cold water, but the pain was still evident. She knew the relief would be short-lived.
