I stepped out of the car. Shoulders back, sunglasses on, and walking like God himself sent me here.
The air inside the studio shifted when I stepped inside. Conversations stopped, footsteps slowed, and curious gazes landed on me as I made my way to the director’s office.
Eva was trailing behind me, her tablet stuck to her chest. Her expression was sharp, and we hardly talked throughout the car ride.
“Eva, you can chill.” I let out a short laugh, noticing how she had been studying me and checking boxes she could only see.
“You shouldn’t be walking this fast,” she suggested.
